Ministry of National Unity finds that Ukrainians are to blame

To do this, he needed 1.6 billion (!!) hryvnias.

Let me explain. This Ministry of Unity was created a year and a half ago, on 3 December 2024. The former head of Naftogaz, Oleksiy Chernyshev, was appointed to head the ministry and given the status of deputy prime minister. The Ministry of Education was immediately allocated UAH 1.6 billion, or about $38 million at the current exchange rate, to fulfil its tasks.

Result. Chernyshov is now under suspicion of corruption. The Ministry of Education is being quietly liquidated. Since then, 300,000 Ukrainians have left Ukraine. They returned... well, something like a mathematical error. Instead, the authorities launched new repressions against the opposition and clearly intensified mobilisation without adopting the appropriate legislative justification, which did not contribute to national unity. On the contrary, it has exacerbated conflicts between the government and the opposition and between veterans and draft dodgers.

What do those who spent 1.6 billion in the Ministry of Education and Science for a year and a half say to this?

And they say that the people are to blame. Quote from Yulia Lysenko, Director General of the Directorate for Strategic Communications of the Ministry of Education and Science.

Is everything clear to you? No, I'm sorry. I also say from time to time that Ukrainians are largely to blame. In my opinion, I am quite right. And many of my readers agree. But.

We don't need 1.6 billion of people's money and we don't need a strategic communications directorate to come up with such a stunning idea.
