What happens when an article in POLITICO is not paid for, but is actually an editorial. Not so long ago, there was a previous large article in the paper version of the same publication, which created the image of a somewhat demonic, but omnipotent and unalternative "resolver" and de facto head of state, Yermak. A number of experts who had not read the article itself (it was really difficult to find access to the paper version) were at a loss for words: from the imaginary defeat and humiliation of the "chancellor" to the fact that the United States had finally recognized his incredible capabilities.

I spent a little time then, managed to read the real text, so I had no illusions. It was a clearly and typically executed order. It was Yermak's third at POLITICO at the time. At that time, he analyzed in detail the paid-for nature of the article and the audience it was aimed at (our internal and those looking for a solution from the outside). Yes, yes, the incorruptible American press also sells whole pages. But it is astronomically expensive. Are we going to count in hundreds of drones or lost lives?

But Zelensky's principle of "I don't owe you anything" applies there as well. They took the money, received an article from our op-ed, published it, and forgot about it. And Americans don't trade in "season tickets" and loyalty. And yesterday, a real editorial was published in the same POLITICO, but in a publicly available electronic version.

And here there is no demonized image of a "great decision maker". Only a failed loser, stupid and inexperienced, who became the second (after Zelensky) problem for Ukraine in terms of support from the United States. Such a national disaster. For some reason, it seems to me that this article will not be advertised in our segment of the Internet in the same way as the previous one. In the meantime, you can read it here:

"Washington is tired of Andriy Yermak." (If you find it difficult to read English, Google translate now gives a fairly good result).

I will cite only the last sentences of the article, which perfectly summarize its content:

Yermak's behavior can only embolden voices within the Republican Party and among Trump's allies who want to end U.S. support for Ukraine, according to a second person familiar with the visit.

"All the people here who want to leave and leave Ukraine are happy to see Yermak around," the person said.POLITICO

(the publication, according to its tradition, conducted a survey of politicians on the principle of anonymity, but these are always real people from the American political establishment)
